Learning objectives

  • Recognize the burden associated with smell loss and congestion for patients with uncontrolled/severe CRSwNP
  • Understand how congestion and inflammation drive smell loss in patients with CRSwNP
  • Evaluate biologic data on improvements in smell loss and congestion in patients with recurrent CRSwNP

Description

This luncheon symposium will highlight the multifaceted burden associated with loss of smell and congestion in patients with uncontrolled CRSwNP. Dr. Sachio Takeno will be accompanied by Prof. Joaquim Mullol for a discussion of type 2 inflammatory mechanisms of anosmia and sinonasal congestion and an evaluation of the available evidence of improved outcomes for patients with recurrent CRSwNP treated with approved biologics.
