Simon G. Danby, PhD, is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Sheffield. He is also a Member of the European Society for Dermatological Research and the Manager of the Skin Barrier Research Facility, housing a range of bioinstrumentation for the assessment of human skin in vivo non-invasively. A trained biochemist and molecular biologist, he has worked on the early-stage development of novel therapeutics and diagnostics for atopic dermatitis, psoriasis and malignant melanoma, and has investigated the understanding of the structure and function of the epidermal skin barrier and its role in the development of atopic dermatitis.
He has published numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals and delivers external presentations to HCPs on topics covering skin physiology, skincare, atopic dermatitis and the mechanisms of topical therapies for AD.
