Biography

Mona Shahriari, MD, is assistant clinical professor of dermatology at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, CT. A practicing board-certified dermatologist, she is a co-founder of Central Connecticut Dermatology in Cromwell, CT, where she is also associate director of clinical trials. She earned her medical degree from the University of Connecticut in Farmington, then completed an internship in internal medicine at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA, and a residency in dermatology at the University of Connecticut, where she served as chief resident. 

Among Dr Shahriari’s clinical and research interests are inflammatory skin conditions, such as psoriasis and eczema, and the use of novel therapies for skin diseases, particularly biologic treatment regimens. She has served as principal investigator or sub-investigator for numerous multicenter clinical studies and has published articles in various peer-reviewed journals. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and is president of the Connecticut Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery. She is also a senior editor of the Journal of Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis.
