Dr Hide graduated Hiroshima University and was granted with MD, Ph.D in 1988. After research of signal transductions of mast cell in NIH, Maryland (1988-1990), he worked in London (1990-1993) and demonstrated the presence of anti-FceRI autoantibody in urticaria. He was appointed for a chairman professor of the Department of Dermatology (2011-2021), dean of Medical School of Hiroshima University (2016-2020), and deputy president of Hiroshima University (2021). He is currently appointed as the director of Hiroshima City Hiroshima Citizens Hospital, and involved in both clinical and basic research of dermatology, immunology and allergy, especially urticaria, angioedema and atopic dermatitis.
