  • Recognize the difference between disease control and remission

Description

Exploring the concept of disease modification in AD therapy. One way to consider therapy as disease modifying is by evaluating its impact on the disease itself. This includes assessing whether the treatment affects the underlying patho-mechanisms of the disease and alters its natural course, potentially leading to sustained remission even after treatment cessation. Another aspect of disease modification involves examining its effect on associated comorbidities. The importance of recognizing that a disease-modifying therapy may impact the disease, its comorbidities, or both is highlighted.
