Type 2 inflammation is central to the underlying pathophysiology of asthma in many patients and is driven by the unique and overlapping roles of key type 2 cytokines IL-4, IL-13, and IL-5. IgE, EOS, and FeNO are biomarkers of type 2 inflammation.
