Brian Lipworth

Brian Lipworth, MD, is a leading respiratory physician and researcher affiliated with Ninewells Hospital and Medical School, University of Dundee, Scotland, UK. His extensive body of work, reflected in highly cited publications, focuses on asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Biography

Brian Lipworth is a highly accomplished pulmonologist and allergist with over 30 years of clinical experience, reflected in his impressive h-index of 99 and over 760 publications. He currently serves as the Head of the Scottish Centre of Respiratory Research and holds the position of Clinical Professor of Allergy and Pulmonology at Ninewells Hospital and Medical School in Dundee. His distinguished career includes previous appointments as a Visiting Professor at Harvard University Medical School and Honorary Clinical Professor at the University of St Andrews Medical School. He is also currently an Honorary Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Central Lancashire. Prof. Lipworth's research excellence has been recognized with honors from prestigious organizations including the British Pharmacological Society, the Scottish Thoracic Society, the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (FACAAI), and the European Respiratory Society (FERS).
