Frederik Trinkmann

Frederik Trinkmann, MD, is an associate professor at Heidelberg University in Heidelberg, Germany. Additionally, he is an executive senior physician in the department of pulmonology and respiratory medicine and director of the Asthma Outpatient Clinic at the Thoraxklinik within Heidelberg University Hospital. Additionally, Professor Trinkmann serves as a research associate in the department of biomedical informatics in the Center for Preventative Medicine and Digital Health Baden-Württemberg at the University Medical Center Mannheim in Mannheim, Germany. 
Professor Trinkmann earned his medical degree from Heidelberg University, where he also completed his habilitation. Additionally, he received his medical training from Heidelberg University’s medical centers, the Heidelberg University Hospital and the University Medical Center Mannheim.
Professor Trinkmann’s clinical interests primarily revolve around the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory diseases such as bronchial asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Through his research, he has authored or coauthored over 80 publications in journals such as the European Respiratory Journal, the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, and Allergy. Additionally, he acts as a principal investigator in the areas of COPD and asthma & allergy at the German Center for Lung Research.
Additionally, Professor Trinkmann is currently a member of the German Society of Internal Medicine, the German Respiratory Society, and serves as treasurer for Lung Function Made Easy.
